Under my skinBones
Are
Forever
All eternal. All mortal.

Everything is connected.
Carlos Olmo has spent his life drawing things that, at first glance, do not seem to belong together. Comics, music, street art, portraits and popular culture. Different roads leading to the same place. Under the face, the skull. Under the hero, the human. Under the present, memory.

The street
came first.
Walls, paste-ups, murals, X-ray interventions and live gestures. Here the section works as a single patchwork — less an archive than a field of presence.

Built for
Hellfest.
Three works installed at Hellcity, plus a 3 × 2 metre piece created for the Hellfest lounges at Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes — my largest work to date.

Spectropia
Spectropia is my musical project — a parallel world connected to Tu penses trop and to my vanitas imagery. Rock music, memory, dissociation and buried images: another door into the same story.

What
remains.
Carlos Olmo has spent his life drawing things that, at first glance, seem not to belong together.
A comic, a rock song, a wall, a popular icon, a childhood memory. Then he looks underneath.
Under the face, a skull.
Under the hero, a human being.
Under the adult, something of the child.
Under the present, memory.
There is no password to enter this work. You can simply like an image. And if you stay a little longer, something else appears.
He may not be drawing skeletons.
He draws what remains.
The world
exists
for real.
Bones Are Forever is also a physical artist studio and gallery in Montmartre, Paris — original works, prints, portraits and rotating guests.
